The Iron Man statue is a 24-centimeter, 10-kilogram sculpture depicting the Buddhist deity Vaiśravaṇa, made from Isu material.[1] Before World War II, Adolf Hitler's Schutzstaffel stole the artifact from Tibet in their search for the Aryan race's purported origins.[2] On 28 September 2012, the Templar front company Abstergo Industries influenced The Guardian to falsely report that the statue was made from a meteorite that crashed to Earth around 15,000 years ago. After applauding the Abstergo employee Erica Nichols for her work, Grand Master Alan Rikkin ordered the Inner Sanctum member Laetitia England to recover the statue.[1] On 22 November, Laetitia responded to Alan's message,[3] stating the sculpture had been retrieved and replaced with a forgery.[4]
