His Secret Service was a virtual representation of one of Bayek's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.

Description[]

Bayek rescues an Egyptian spy, Khati, who has been imprisoned at the Roman Fort.

Dialogue[]

Bayek infiltrated the Fort, and approached the cages where rebels and civilians alike were held.

  • Khati: Medjay, help me!
O glory, a protector of Egypt, please, we are in grave danger.

Bayek freed one of the captives.

  • Bayek: You are Khati, yes?
  • Khati: I will not ask how you knew, but for the future of Egypt, we must flee.

If Bayek was not informed about Khati, the interaction would be as follows.

  • Bayek: Who are you?
  • Khati: An Egyptian like yourself seni, for the safety of Egypt, we must flee.
  • Bayek: Why did the Romans capture you?
  • Khati: For the knowledge I have... but we should not talk here.

Bayek picked Khati up and carried him to safety.

ACO His Secret Service 3

Bayek carrying Khati to safety

  • Khati: How did you find me, Medjay? Did the spymaster send you?
  • Bayek: The Centurion's list led me here.

Once at a safe distance from the fort, Bayek laid Khati down.

  • Khati: You have the list? The names of the shrouded ones in Cyrenaica?
  • Bayek: Yes, you and another of Apollodorus' agents survived. I freed him from the barracks in Balagrae.
  • Khati: You have done Egypt and Apollodorus a great service, Medjay. Amun Ra reward you.

If Bayek did not yet have the Centurion's list the conversation would be a bit different.

  • Khati: I am one of Apollodorus' most trusted spies. Part of his divine manipulation of the threads
  • Khati: Someone betrayed us, gave up our agents in Cyrenaica. That is how the Centurion found me, he has a list of names.
  • Bayek: Then it cannot remain in his hands.
  • Khati: He patrols the border towers. Find the bastard, see what information he has, what others can be saved.
  • Baeks: For Egypt.
  • Khati: For a free Egypt. May our victories multiply.

Then Bayek went on to find and retrive the spy list from the Centurion, patrolling the towers on the Eastern border. Eventually, Bayek found the Roman, and killed him and his guards, recovering a note.

Apollodorus' Agents in Kyrenaika

Antion. Refused to speak, so we cut out his tongue.
Setefu. He was their leader, so we killed him first.
Nikmeth. Preferred to starve than to speak.
Davi. Captured at the brothel.
Nefertani. Woman. It seems these Egyptians allow women to do the same as men, we killed her as one.
Ilamesu. Crucified by Brutus Severus.
Patmose. Drowned in the sea.
Gupta. Balagrae barracks. We will break him.
Khati. Roman Fort. Caught when he stopped to pet a cat, still alive, gave us everything.
  • Bayek: There is another spy in Balagrae? He's in great danger.

Outcome[]

Bayek rescued Khati. He also killed an enemy centurion and retrieved the list of spies to prevent further capture of Apollodorus' spies.

Trivia[]

  • Shadows of Apollo and His Secret Service share the same quest target. So if both quests are in the quest log, and the centurion is killed, both quests are completed at the same time. Completing the one quest before the other changes slightly the dialogue.
