Hellequin
"Despite her brightly-colored costume and somewhat silly headgear, the Hellequin clearly prefers to act in dramas. Especially the bloody ones. When using her two daggers, she's always sure to leave her audience with a grin from ear to ear."
Ubisoft description.

The Hellequin (real name: Caha) was an Animi Avatar, Avatars used by Abstergo Industries to train the recruits in their Animi Training Program. She wielded a pair of barbed golden daggers, and her attire consisted of a striped gold and purple jester costume, with an ornate golden mask. Another Animi Avatar, the Harlequin, was confirmed to be her brother, Cahin.

Unique Moves

The Hellequin Avatar had several unique moves:

(Low Profile, Back)

The Hellequin taps her target on the shoulder, before twirling around them. As her victim searches for the source of the touch, the Hellequin quickly stabs them once in the lower back, underneath the rib-cage.

(Low Profile, Front)

The Hellequin, once close-range and facing her target, stabs their feet with one of her daggers. Once her victim can no longer step ahead, she takes her other dagger from the ring on her belt and stabs them under the chin, before bending down to retrieve the first dagger in their foot and rehooking both of them to her belt.

(High Profile, Front)

The Hellequin vaults over her target whilst stabbing them in the crevices between the neck and the shoulder blades, before landing behind them and nudging her victim with her bottom, letting gravity pull their limp body to the floor and then dusting her skirt off with her hands.

(High Profile, Back)

The Hellequin runs up to her target from behind and leaps over them, kicking her legs up into the air as she twirls over them. Once she lands, she takes out one of her two daggers and stabs her victim in the throat, before yanking the barbed dagger out.

(Bench Kill)

The Hellequin lifts her target's chin up, making them sit straight before jumping up and wrapping one leg around their neck and clamping her other leg behind their head. Using the momentum of her jump, the Hellequin tilts herself, snapping her victim's neck while she lands, crouched, on her feet.

(Aerial Kill)

The Hellequin leaps from a rooftop and lands onto her unaware target. Then, she takes out one of her daggers and stabs her target in the side of their head.

Trivia

  • The Hellequin can be unlocked through Uplay for 40 Uplay points.
  • "Hellequin" is not a play on the word "harlequin", slotting out "harl" for "hell", as people have been led to believe. The Hellequin was the precursor to the traditional harlequin.
  • In the Russian translation she is known as "Harlequina" (Арлекина) a female version of the gender-neutral word "Harlequino" (Арлекино), while the male form "Harlequin" (Арлекин) is used for the Harlequin.
