Heliodoros was a 1st century BCE Greek man from Alexandria, Egypt. He was once a patron of the herbalist Alexandros until he discovered that many of his customers had ties to corrupt officials in the court of Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII and the Phylakitai, which prompted him to end their contract and to find another herbalist. In his letter to the healer, Heliodoros condemned Alexandros' actions and wished upon his downfall.[1]
