Helen Koya Abdulai (born 21 June 1985) is a British actress and fitness model, born and raised in Walthamstow, London, England. She provided the voice and motion capture for Patience Gibbs, a character appearing in the Aveline sequence of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Biography
Koya began her training as an actress in her late teens at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. At the age of 18, following two years of studying, she was offered a scholarship at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. In the next three years there, she built a solid acting foundation.
After drama school, Koya worked mainly in theatre, commercials, television pilots, and short films; she has appeared in television series like Helix and Cottage in America, as well as short films like Rat Meat Chief and Making the Band.
Koya eventually moved to Montreal, Canada, where she resided for four years, before moving again, this time to New York. She is also passionate about fitness, and has participated in multiple powerlifting and bodybuilding competitions. In between acting jobs, Koya models and does work in the administration and advertising sectors.
