The shipwreck of HMS Sapphire was located in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean and inhabited by arctic animals such as polar bears.
History
Formerly a 32-gun frigate built in 1675, HMS Sapphire became the first command of English naval officer Cloudesley Shovell. In September 1696, the frigate was captained by Thomas Cleasby, leading her in Bay Bulls Harbor where she was trapped by French ships. Fearing for her capture, the English crew abandoned the frigate and fled to land.
During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac explored the shipwreck and recovered an 11th century Templar armor.
