- ―Description of HMS Drake[src]
HMS Drake was a schooner in His Majesty's Royal Navy and sailed in the Caribbean Sea during the early 18th century.
In June 1716, HMS Drake was captured by the French pirate Alonzo Batilla in Cozumel to tail a Portuguese merchant ship without attracting attention. However, the pirate had to abandon his plans after he was attacked by Alvaro, a pirate hunter. Batilla later added HMS Drake to his pirate fleet.
