Goats and Ghosts was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[]
A hunter left a message on the board, calling for help.
Dialogue[]
Kassandra noticed a job posted on a message board.
She sought out the hunter and addressed her.
- Kassandra: You left a note on the board. What's happened?
- Woman: It is time to honor Dionysos! Time to drink wine, misthios! But there is much to prepare, and the ghosts will soon rise from the earth.
- Kassandra: Sure they will.
- Woman: I have to bring pitch to the farmer to paint his door with... it keeps the ghosts out. But game must be hunted, and goats must be slaughtered, as well.
- Kassandra: So... you want me to kill a bunch of goats?
- Woman: Yes. All of them must be gutted. Do you accept?
(Accept - I'll kill the beasts.)
- Kassandra: It won't be easy, but I'll take care of it.
- Woman: Good. Get it done soon.
- Kassandra: Leave it to me.
Kassandra left the woman and tracked down the goats. While she dealt with the wild boar among them, the goats fled, but returned as the scuffle died down. Kassandra slew enough of the goats, and then returned to the hunter.
- Woman: You're back. Have you killed them?
- Kassandra: I took care of them. Every last one.
- Woman: You earned your pay, mercenary. Take this.
- Kassandra: I always finish what I've started.
Outcome[]
Kassandra helped a hunter with the preparations for a festival of Dionysos, and was rewarded for this.
