Glénat Editions is a French publishing company that focuses on comics, manga and bandes dessinées. Their catalogue include works originally in English, Italian and Japanese for franchises such as Deus Ex, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill and Assassin's Creed.[1]
History[]
On 26 November 2020, Glénat released a webcomic titled Assassin's Creed: Valhalla written by Mathieu Gabella with art by Paolo Traisci and colors by Fabien Alquier.[2] It served as a tie-in to the video game of the same name, and followed the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan as she raided a monastery.
In April 2021, a new graphic novel by the same creative team was announced alongside eight other future Assassin's Creed projects. Game Informer reported that the comic will feature original characters and a new location to explore, Scotland.[3]
