They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Ghost General.

The Ghost General (died 1582) was a Japanese rōnin and participant in kabukimono culture located in Sakai.

Biography[]

As a kabukimono, the Ghost General was one of the many rōnin who attacked the communities across the provinces of Izumi Settsu and Harima. However, the priest Shin'nyo of the Nishinomiya Shrine met with and sought the help of the Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe to assassinate eight of their leaders.[1]

By 1582, the Ghost General and his gang, the Hungry Ghosts, took whatever they wanted especially the wares along the Port of Sakai. Patrolling from the port to the Money Changer District, the rōnin watched over their ill-gotten resources, until the Ghost General was found and assassinated by Naoe.[1]
