I was wondering--whose memories does Desmond relive at the very beginning of Assassin's Creed 2? It either has to be Ezio or Giovanni, and if it's Ezio than does that mean that he remembers being born? And if it's Giovanni than what's the point, because isn't he going in to synchronize with Ezio?75.170.171.108 11:53, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
- Given the fact tutorial pop-ups correspond with baby Ezio's movements, and the fact "memory" started before Giovanni arrived, it's Ezio's. Also, nobody remembers their own birth trauma for a reason. --Kainzorus Prime ⚜ Walkie-talkie 14:49, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
Genetic memory is basically a record of the entirety of a person's memories in their DNA, regardless of whether the person actually remembers the memory or not. It records all memories from birth until death. Genetic memory is passed on through conception; the DNA, and thus all genetic memories up to that point, of both parents is passed onto the child. Desmond could only relive Giovanni's memories up to the point that Ezio, his next ancestor, was conceived. Therefore, it could not have been Giovanni's memories, only Ezio's. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 12:46, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
