I have a PS4 & didn't intend on backtracking to my PS3 but I have to have all the AC games, like I'm sure we all do =p I know Unity comes out 2 weeks before Rouge but according to IGN & Kotaku the events in Rouge spur the things in Unity. For me myself I rather play it Rouge then Unity. What do you guys think? (110.32.111.161 00:50, August 6, 2014 (UTC))

Seeing as Rogue won't be out for PC, at least this year, I think the answer is obvious. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 00:58, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
I'll likely play Rogue before Unity. Unity doesn't really interest me, but playing as a Templar and killing Assassins does. Plus, if this is the final last-gen game, I want to experience it before moving onto current-gen (not counting my playthrough of AC4 on PS4). --Crimson Knight Intercom 01:08, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
Seeing as Rogue doesn't connect to Unity until the very end, I'm not going to wait that long to play a game that came out 2 weeks prior. Definitely picking up Unity first; doubt I'll get very far before Rogue comes out though...like my Black Flag playthrough. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 22:51, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

I'll be sure to put on some rouge before popping in Unity. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 22:54, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Sima is now fabulous. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 22:58, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
Rouge has been called the gap bridger to AC3 & AC4, so really you should play that one first & Game Informer, also, has said to better understand Unity to play Rouge first. I don't know how I feel about having Unity (& my PS4) being unused for a few weeks >.< & If thats the case, why don't Ubi swap the date for the 2 games around.(110.32.111.161 06:09, August 7, 2014 (UTC))

It's Rogue, not Rouge. Rouge is a type of make-up and the French word for the colour red. I think the extend to better understanding Unity by playing Rogue first is seeing the Seven Years' War's effects on France's financial state; one of the reasons the French Revolution started. I think I'll just be getting them both on release, playing and finishing Unity before Rogue comes out. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 07:46, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

Ditto; I was thinking of playing Rogue first, but it releases like a week or so after Unity, so that plan went out the window. I think it would've been smarter of Ubi to release Rogue first to be honest, seeing as it's apparently linked to Unity somehow? Crook The Constantine District 07:50, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

Probably rogue seeing as how it's Last Gen. You want to build up your WOW factor. First is Rogue for the templar experience and then it's Unity for those Glorious Crowd Mechanics.Rotionpotion (talk) 17:20, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

"Said to better understand Unity to play Rouge first." Well, I'm screwed until they announce a PC version.<theproclamation> (talk) 00:10, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

I'm going to stupidly hope for a port to next-gen for Rogue. If my patience runs out I'll buy it and knowing my luck they'll announce an next-gen version just after I bought it. But I will play Unity first. I'm getting a bit tired of the Naval Warfare. I have also played ACIII first and then Liberation HD. And Rogue seriously feels like Unity's 'Liberation'. -- Altaïr 00:25, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Since unity's modern storyline will likely begin before rogue's, Ill pick unity first. Lmguerra (talk) 02:13, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Also, am I the only one who thinks Rogue is Ubi's way of trying to right AC:3's wrongs?<theproclamation> (talk) 02:16, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

I don't think so. I think if they wanted to right ACIII's wrongs, they would have come up with another game with Connor as an protagonist, because he certainly was the game's largest problem imo -- Altaïr 02:20, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Connor was so badly received that people would be in an outrage if they made a sequel for him. Personally, I didn't think Connor was as terrible as people made him up to be, but was one of the problems. But Rogue should tell us what happened during that giant gap between Haytham finding the Grand Temple and the beginning of Connor's story.<theproclamation> (talk) 02:44, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Already got Unity pre-ordered. I'll wait on Rogue. -Molotov.cockroach (talk) 04:36, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

I'll play Rogue first. It uses the old parkour system and has worse graphical fidelity than Unity does. Not only that, but in terms of story the Seven Years' War is one of the primary causes of France's economic problems, and thus part of the lead-up to the French Revolution. It'll suck having Unity sitting there for 2 weeks, but I truly think playing Unity first would negatively impact Rogue. Jamie Jones54842 (talk) 23:21, August 17, 2014 (UTC)

I'll no doubt play Unity and then wait for the ensueing Current Gen port. I still haven't played the other black flag DLC about Adewale, so i'll probably play that DLC before i get the Rogue DLC. I'm also betting that Shay does another 180 at the end or something  "unexpected" like that. On a side note did anyone else noticed the obvious intentional similarites between AC1 trailer and the ACU trailers2.31.164.41 18:58, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

Though I've pre-ordered Unity I may not have a PS4 in time (damn real life and bills!) So at the moment it looks as though Rouge will get the first go. Putowtin- Light Love and Peace 21:35, August 26, 2014 (UTC)
