I haven't been following this community for probably about a year now, and it's good to be back. What is the general consensus on this statement that Ubisoft just said in regards to the English accents in ACU?Einsteinium99 (talk) 02:30, September 10, 2014 (UTC)

- I certainly understand the rationale behind this, but I'm still not sold. It seems a bit cheap to not use French accents. Surely it wouldn't have been that hard, considering we've had French accents in almost every AC game before now? --Crimson Knight Intercom 14:49, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
- It's just a game.<theproclamation> (talk) 19:05, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
- And this affects my opinion how? --Crimson Knight Intercom 19:13, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
- I never said it did, I just don't think it matters. Also,(unless the voice actors are actually French) it's difficult to replicate a French accent without sounding bad or offensive.<theproclamation> (talk) 19:27, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
- A lot of the actors are French, and the game is being developed in Montreal. And really, if I can impress my French teacher (who was French) with my accent, surely an accent isn't that hard for other people to do. --Crimson Knight Intercom 19:34, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
- You seem to be forgetting that Ubisoft, and many of the voice actors they hire, are based in Montreal. You'll be hard-pressed to find a voice actor there who isn't at the least bilingual. I'm pretty sure they almost all speak both French and English. I'm aware that doesn't guarantee a good French accent, but still. Crook The Constantine District 19:32, September 10, 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, ACIV: Freedom Cry had a ton of great French accents in it too.Einsteinium99 (talk) 19:50, September 13, 2014 (UTC)
