Well, it turns out we have some update's for the newest Assassin's Creed game.
It turns out that (Of course, everyone knows this, but a lot of people still don't except the fact that Desmond is dead) that Desmond is indeed dead, we won't see him anymore often in future AC games, because he's basically finished. That's why we have a new character.
And that character, Isn't from Desmond's bloodline, a brother to him, family member, etc. It's actually, you.
There is a new modern day main protagonist who will enter in AC Unity, and that will be your player, who isn't Desmond, somewhat a custom modern day character. I'm not saying you will be able to customize your modern day player, which Ubisoft hasn't confirmed yet. But I think It's likely that we will.
Arno Dorian, the French Revolution Assassin, isn't a ancestor to Desmond, he is a ancestor to the modern day player. It's also been confirmed that you will be able to customize Arno Dorian's robes, the robes color, from hood to bottom, facial features, skin colors, equip weapons, such as guns, and others, and much more. I'm guessing that...(It's probably not the case) that those 3 characters who will appear in AC Unity will really just be Arno, but more customized and made into a different person, It's like making your own Assassin, but it's really just making your own Arno. Hopefully, this won't only be available for multiplayer/co-op and It will be available for single player.
Now, it hasn't been confirmed if you will be able to make your modern day protagonist a female. It would be a very nice addition and I'm hoping that could be in the newest AC Unity, but I'm sure you have a bunch of questions...
Will we be able to customize our own modern day protagonist?
Will we be able to make the modern day protagonist a female? Will it be a quiet and speechless character like In AC4? Or will we be able to put a voice on character or use our own voice?
Will the customize Arno Dorian feature provide to use voices too or our own voiceS? Will the customize Arno Dorian feature be available for those who don't have Xbox Live and for single player?
Will the past costumes from the Assassin's Creed games, such as Altair's, Ezio's, Edward's, and Connor's/Ratonhnhaké:ton's robes return in AC Unity?
But the most question most of people asked, was this.
Will Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton return in AC Unity?
Hopefully, Assassin's Creed: Unity will answers all our questions when we get to play it. TheDestroyerOfWorlds (talk) 04:48, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
- "Arno Dorian, the French Revolution Assassin, isn't a ancestor to Desmond, he is a ancestor to the modern day player."
- Goddammit. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 11:29, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
- So, what? He's my ancestor? That's just stupid. What's wrong with sticking to Desmond's bloodline? --Crimson Knight Intercom 13:14, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
- Casuals wouldn't be able to keep up with a plot encompassing 7 main games. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 13:16, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
- I'm already excited to create the "Your ancestors" category. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 13:33, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
- Including all those characters from Discover Your Legacy. But remind me where this comes from and why should I take Godzilla seriously? (This Godzilla, not the one who's an allegory for nuclear politics.) --Alientraveller (talk) 13:49, July 23, 2014 (UTC)

- I'm not sure where you got your wires crossed, Godzilla, but Arno is not the ancestor of the modern day protagonist. The Assassins contact you and ask you to review Arno's memories, similar to Abstergo's Edward project in Black Flag. We know nothing else of the modern day character, whether they be first-person again or third-person customized. The "other three Assassins" are all Arno. How you customize him in the story (weapons and clothing, not voice) transfers to the the co-op. The only thing that changes in the eyes of your allies is a different face. - I still find this little mock-up of mine to be hilariously accurate. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 15:38, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
- I really don't like how Ubi's drifting away from Desmond's lineage just to appeal to a new, un-invested crowd. I won't be too mad about it as long as the game's good<theproclamation> (talk) 04:59, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
- Appealing to a new crowd is the smart decision for them as a business though. Testing the waters to see what they can do to get new fans while keeping the old ones happy is the only way to expand their customer base. If Desmond's lineage was a big selling point it probably wouldn't be a good idea, but it seems many players weren't too upset to see him gone. -Molotov.cockroach (talk) 08:19, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
I'm not upset about Desmond being gone, or Arno not being his ancestor. I am upset about 'me' being part of the lore, and that we're thus playing as some nameless protagonist. I don't want to be involved in the lore, I want to find out about it. I want a name for Arno's descendant. This makes things hard for the wiki as well. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 08:24, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
That too, I want definite characters to play as, and I don't the whole "Make History" tagline that Ubi seems to be taking too seriously.<theproclamation> (talk) 08:29, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
Also, it will make it incredibly slug-paced and difficult to actually advance the Juno plot arc in the modern day. We had a nice cliffhanger in most Desmond games at the end that kept us guessing what's next in the modern day, because things were actually happening to the protagonist. What we got now? Nothing really relevant happens. "Oh yeah, Juno's a Zordon spread across the internet, and her husband has the entire humanity to use up as extra lives." That's the extent of AC4's modern plot. And also, you don't get the sense of passage of time in the modern day anymore. Were it not for diary entries of the analyst, you wouldn't have noticed that the modern section spans more than a day. Hell, they even magically move you away from your Animus and into the Bunker and the character never even notices until they exit the machine. Nothing like "the following morning" in AC1, Desmond tripping balls in AC2 with the vision of Al, or the voices of modern people providing narration that we are in fact moving around the planet in ACR. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 10:45, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
Wheres your sorce? I'm sorry, but I don't belive ANY of this! It sounds far too complicated. And we are to believe, in the lore, that Abstergo (or whoever we are working for) is making the exact same video game with the exact same lines but with people who look so drasticly different? It confuses the Hell outta me! & for something Ubisoft hammers on about being SO important to them, I just don't see that this is true. (110.32.111.161 11:51, July 31, 2014 (UTC))
- Source for what? It's not really clear who you're responding to :s Crook The Constantine District 11:57, July 31, 2014 (UTC)
- The Distroyer of Worlds, lol. Where did you get ALL that info from? & if its all true how come none of the major websites - IGN, Kotaku, Game Informer - has not reported on it? I always take everything on this site with huge truck loads of salt =p (110.32.111.161 05:19, August 1, 2014 (UTC))
- Oh I see; uh... well the fact that Desmond is dead, that's not news. The fact that we're still playing as "us" (aka, no actual character) is true (but it's not going to be at Abstergo Entertainment anymore, I think). The tidbit about "us" being descendants from Arno is unconfirmed, as I've only heard that being said here and Destroyer of Worlds did not provide a source for all this information. Likewise, the tidbit about "us" being customizable is unconfirmed and, in my opinion, unlikely. Would be a huge investment of assets into a segment of the game that, like Black Flag, probably won't be very long, compared to the historical plot.
- Destroyer of Worlds is right when he says Arno is customizable, and also right when he says that the three other Assassins we saw in the reveal trailer are really just different iterations Arno. They are avatars for the people you will be playing with, not actual characters in the game and purely created to show off the co-op aspect (although not very well imo). The rest is just questions.
- Although I can't send you sources, you can take my word for it that the above is true (unless I misunderstood something :P). Crook The Constantine District 06:56, August 1, 2014 (UTC)
