Florine was a member of the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins. She was also the biological mother of Margaux.[1]
Biography[]
While on a mission to secure a Shroud of Eden with Isaac du Queyran circa 1593, the pair was discovered by Templars and forced into hiding. Upon finding out she was pregnant, Isaac took Florine to a healer he knew, Catherine. Florine almost perished in childbirth, but she was saved by Isaac using the Shroud of Eden on her. The pair gave Catherine both the child and the Shroud for safekeeping and left.[1] She kept away from Catherine to protect Margaux from being used against her by the Templars who wanted her dead[2] and died sometime between 1593 and 1609.[3]
Personality and traits[]
Her daughter was said to be the spitting image of her, both in appearance and temperament.[3][4]
She had a higher concentration of Isu DNA than average, making her "blood strong enough to resonate with the Precursors' artifacts", as fellow Assassin Avicenne put it.[3] This was passed onto Margaux, who was able to use the Shroud in mere seconds, rather than the twenty minutes it took her adoptive mother and sister.[2]
