Falling on Deaf Ears was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description

Following her choice, Kassandra was faced with its consequences.

Dialogue

A man drew Kassandra's attention in Argolis.

  • Kassandra: Can I help you with something?
  • Man: You're the misthios Eteokles spoke of!
  • Kassandra: Who?
  • Man: The farmer who owned the white bull. He was sick, you made a sacrifice to the gods in his name. He's a good friend of mine.
  • Kassandra: Ah yes. And how is Eteokles?
  • Man: He's dead.

  • Kassandra:
  • Man:

  • Kassandra: Asklepios himself couldn't have cured that farmer.

  • Man: Your sacrifice warmed his dying heart. He offered me whatever food was left on his land, but rotten bandits took over the farm. He deserved better.
  • Kassandra: And you're hoping I'll kill all the bandits?
  • Man: Exactly. None should be left alive.

(Accept - I'll hunt the outlaws.)

  • Kassandra: It won't be easy, but I'll take care of it.
  • Man: The Fates are working in my favor.
  • Kassandra: Leave it to me.

Kassandra left the merchant and sought out Eteokles' farm. She slew the bandits there before returning to the merchant.

  • Man: You're back. Have you killed them?
  • Kassandra: I took care of them. Every last one.
  • Man: My dear friend, you've earned this!
  • Kassandra: That'll do.

Outcome

Kassandra found and slew the bandits, receiving a reward for this.
