Eydis was a Viking who lived in the Raven Clan's settlement of Ravensthorpe during the 9th century. She operated the Barracks, and often advised the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir on choosing a Jomsvikingr lieutenant to join the raiding crew aboard her personal longship.
Behind the scenes
The name Eydis is derived from the Old Norse elements ey meaning "good fortune" or "island" and dís meaning "goddess".
