Del Salto was a Spanish lieutenant who served under Gustavo Ramírez during the Reconquista in the late 15th century. He was one of the lieutenants responsible for the hunt for the third section of the Shattered Staff of Eden, being the one in charge of consolidating the intel from searches across northern Spain.[1]
In his headquarters, in a villa near León, del Salto corresponded with Ramírez and informed him of the leads he had acquired. One of them, involving a monastery in the mountains of Asturias, led to its ransacking and the capture of its monks under Ramírez's orders. The Spanish Assassins later infiltrated the villa and stole some of the information he had collected to locate the missing section of the Staff.[2]
After learning that the Staff section was located at Sobroso Castle, del Salto led a contingent of Spanish troops to the castle to retrieve the artifact. He subsequently entrusted it to the Assassin turncoat Diego de Alvarado, shortly before he and his men were confronted by the Spanish Assassins. While Alvarado escaped with the Staff section, del Salto fought the Assassins but was ultimately killed.[3]
