Cyrus was a former Roman soldier turned slaver and a member of the Anglo-Saxon sect of the Order of the Ancients.
Biography[]
Before his tenure in England, Cyrus worked as a Roman soldier and soon came under the influence of the Order of the Ancients. Afterwards, Cyrus worked as a slaver for the Order and worked in kidnapping women, including the current Roman Hidden One Marcella, who escaped his captivity. Accounts of Cyrus had proved disturbing as he was extremely misogynistic, deeply malicious and committed extreme acts of sadism towards women who became his victims. Due to Marcella's escape, Cyrus began hunting her down which made Marcella have to hide in response.[1] Around 878, Cyrus began to kidnap women of all kind, Christian and pagans alike, for a nunnery under the Order's control. This nunnery was actually a secluded prison camp where the women were treated as slaves and subtly brainwashed into accepting their fate.[2]
Cyrus also held a place of position within a keep besides the Tamesis River. Before leaving, Cyrus had correspondence between the Order and the Descendants of the Round Table as they worked together to find Excalibur. Outside the keep, Cyrus left his soldiers alone with his captive, Ebba, for the Order's "nunnery." However, trouble ensued within the keep as Cyrus noticed a pair of unknown horses waiting outside his keep. As his keep was on fire, Cyrus waited by the horses and soon encounters one of the intruders, Niamh of Argyll. Realizing that Niamh took Ebba, Cyrus taunts Niamh as he needs a replacement, due to Ebba no longer being viable. Cyrus soon engaged Niamh in a fight and began to tire her out. However, Cyrus was put on the defensive and being forced to back up towards the horses. After a couple of times, Cyrus backed up one final time as Niamh's horse, Mathan, back-kicked him into unconsciousness.[3]
Cyrus was almost killed by Niamh, but she hesitated. An unconscious Cyrus was soon dragged, stripped, and tied up besides a tree. Bleeding from his head, Cyrus was left for dead as his enemies fled the scene.[3] Unfortunately, Cyrus survived his injuries as he came to oversee the nunnery with all his captives. Bandaged, Cyrus noticed a soldier and realized it was Niamh in disguise. Cyrus quickly ordered his men to attack Niamh. However, Cyrus failed as Niamh was helped by his captives and she escaped.[4] Cyrus's presence was later told by Niamh to her allies, Hidden Ones Marcella and Hytham.[5]
