The Cockham Merchants were a group of merchants that supplied British Templar Philip Twopenny with weapons for his plans.[1]
In 1868, Twopenny oversaw a number of heists at different branches of the Bank of England, with the thieves' weapons being supplied by the Cockham Merchants. This information was uncovered by Sergeant Frederick Abberline, who passed it onto British Assassin Jacob Frye,[1] who trailed the Cockham crates to its destination, discovering the Templar responsible.[2]
