The Children of Fal were the members of an Isu-human bloodline from Scotland which regularly produced twins each born with the same birthmark of the Isu symbol for "2" on their wrist. The former Assassin Sören and his brother as well as Fillan and his sister Ailéas were known Children of Fal.

Protected during centuries by the Assassins, the Children were expected to join the Brotherhood and use their innate gifts to uphold its Creed. Such twin Assassins were entrusted with a pair of Isu blades, the Swords of Fal.

The British Templars tried to extinguish the bloodline, sending their elite team of killers, the Lann Fala, after all those they identified as part of the bloodline. In 1288, they failed to kill Fillian and Aileas despite exterminating their entire clan.
