I wanted to ask you something. Which is… what's your name? The title of this article is conjecture. Although the subject of this article is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
An Assassin from the American Brotherhood of Assassins was active in the Great Basin Desert during the California Gold Rush.
Biography[]
In 1852, this Assassin attacked a carriage transporting John Sutter in order to retrieve the gold he had stolen from the Maidu people. Landing on top of the carriage from above, the Assassin used a lasso to assist her landing. She knocked Sutter's rifle out of his hands, slit the throat of his coachman with her Hidden Blade, and demanded he return the gold mined by the Maidu people. Seeing movement out of the corner of her eye, the Assassin turned to the horizon and shot a man in the distance, killing him.[1]
Legacy[]
By 2015, her mnemonic data had been acquired by Abstergo Industries and made available for Animus users to play through Helix. Her Helix memory was a favorite of Charlotte de la Cruz, who became proficient in synchronizing with the Californian Assassin.[1]
Personality and traits[]
The Assassin was an honorable individual wishing to help undo the injustices done upon the Maidu people. She was of a medium complexion with long dark hair and similarly colored eyes.[1]
Skills and equipment[]
The Assassin wore a dark colored duster over a brown vest and white undershirt and brown trousers with black boots. On top of this she wore an bandolier and a slouch hat. To hide her identity, the Assassin wore a navy bandana over her lower-face and riding gloves on her hands. She possessed an over-and-under double barrel rifle that she kept slung on her back when not in use. Also in her possession was a lasso and the standard Assassin-issued Hidden Blade.[1]
The Assassin was proficient in the Assassin arts, performing such acts as landing on a moving carriage after swinging from her lasso and using her Hidden Blade in close-quarters combat. Displaying enhanced agility, endurance, intimidation techniques and also extremely acute vision, she was able to see and shoot a man several kilometers away with her rifle.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
This unidentified Assassin of a California Gold Rush setting appears in the first issue of the Assassin's Creed published by Titan Comics.
With her medium complexion, dark features, and commitment to helping the Maidu people, it may be inferred that this Assassin is of Maidu heritage herself.
