- "Weak. Old. Frail. What happened, All-Father? Too much of that pretentious Asgardian air? I enjoyed poking my blades into Baldr's flesh. Seeing what was underneath. What purity. Full and true. The apple fell far in his case. Is that your best? Come now, Havi. Even your boy put up more of a fight."
- ―Calder to Odin.[src]-[m]
Calder was an Isu warlord and scientist who worked under the ruler of the realm Múspellsheimr, Surtr.

Calder theorized that with enough time and resources he could attempt to replicate this invulnerability to bestow it upon others. Though eventually he absorbed Baldr's Hugr into the Salakar, preserving his mind within the device while leaving the body dead in his cell to find other minds to asorb.
Though during his trials he was found by a disguised Odin, in his quest to find Baldr. Aided by Eysa the two were able to catch Calder off guard.
