The Brahman 3.0 is a machine created by the Zhawang Corporation based on Animus technology, using blueprints stolen from Abstergo Industries.[1]
History[]
- Noa: "Animus? That thing? It doesn't look like any Animus I've ever seen."
- Claire: "Of course it doesn't. Brahman is an upgraded version of the Animus that incorporates technology of our own. Our goal was to maximize synchronization by precisely matching physical motion with stored memories."

After coming into possession of leaked Abstergo documents, the Zhawang Corporation, under the direction of Claire Zhang, reverse-engineered the Templars' Animus technology to build a similar machine, hoping to maximize synchronization rates by matching the exact physical motions present within the genetic memories. The end result resembled Abstergo's Animus 4.3 model, consisting of a mechanical arm that was anchored to the user at the waist, allowing them to mimic the host's movements, including jumps and leaps. Unlike the Animus 4.3, the Brahman 3.0 also included a headset similar to that of its namesake, the Brahman V.R., allowing the user to view the user's memories for better immersion.[2]
Despite its ambitious scope, early tests of the Brahman 3.0 proved disastrous, as the increased synchronization rates also led to an aggravated Bleeding Effect, which drove most users insane. Only a few test subjects were able to escape relatively unharmed, among them Nathan Zhang, Claire's brother.[2]
In 2023, following Noa Kim's mission to rescue Shimazu Sei from the Abstergo Genetic Research Lab in Osaka, Japan, Claire introduced the Brahman 3.0 to him upon his return to the Zhawang Corporation's headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia.[1] Believing that Noa's experience with the Bleeding Effect, as well as his possession of a Piece of Eden that could heal psychic damage, would allow him to use the Brahman 3.0 without suffering any of the more severe consequences, Claire instructed him to relive the memories of his ancestor Edward Kenway to track down an Isu temple in Cambodia sought by Abstergo.[2]
Noa was reluctant to use the machine, but due to a lack of any faster alternatives, he conceded and entered the Brahman 3.0. Before the machine was booted up, one of the Assassins accompanying Noa handed him Edward's Hidden Blades, allowing him to more explicitly mimic his ancestor's movements. The Brahman 3.0 was subsequently activated, and Noa began synchronizing with Edward's memories.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
The Brahman 3.0 is an Animus model introduced in the 2023 webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple. While named after the Brahman V.R. introduced in the 2013 graphic novel Assassin's Creed: Brahman, its design and functionality are reminiscent of the Animus 4.3 featured in the 2016 Assassin's Creed film. Another parallel is drawn to the film when Noa is offered Edward's Hidden Blades prior to using the Brahman 3.0, similarly to how Callum Lynch was given his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha's Hidden Blades in the film.
