Assassin's Creed: Shadows – Tales of Iga

Assassin's Creed: Shadows – Tales of Iga (Japanese: アサシンクリードシャドウズ伊賀の物語, Assassin's Creed: Shadows – Iga no Monogatari) is an ongoing manga that has been released on Japan's Weekly Young Magazine website since 20 March 2025. The manga serves as a prequel to Assassin's Creed: Shadows and explores the backstories of Fujibayashi Nagato, Hattori Hanzō, and Tsuyu,^[1] who come together to fight against the growing Templar threat in Japan in 1560.

Development[]

The manga was first announced by Ubisoft on its Japanese media account on Twitter^[2] before it was translated and cross-posted to the official Assassin's Creed Twitter.^[3] The manga is made in collaboration with the Tokyo-based publishing company Kodansha, which is famous for releasing the critically-acclaimed serials Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga. The manga's initial run was in Japanese, with English and French translations released at later dates.^[1]
