Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 73 is the seventy-third episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and NOHT and with art by Tabii, was released on 10 September 2024.
Plot synopsis[]
Yun Pyeong-Gyu's Greek fire bombs create a wall of fire in the water, preventing Jeong's fleet from advancing any further. With their enemies at bay, Yun orders Rupiya to sail the Fenghuang closer to Fort San Pedro so that they can pick up their friends and escape Cebu.
Meanwhile, inside the fortress, Edward Kenway and Shimazu Saito duel Xiao Han, Liu Qing, and Xue Yan. After Xue Yan defeats Saito, Edward, outnumbered and surrounded, reluctantly decides to use the crescent amulet in his hand. Gazing into the amulet, Liu Qing is shown a vision of his late daughter, who asks him why he could not save her and the rest of their family. At the same time, Xiao Han is forced to relive the Chinese Brotherhood's recent purge, which the Mentor blames himself for being unable to prevent.
With both Liu Qing and Xiao Han subdued, Edward warns the Chinese Assassins to abandon their quest for the Pieces of Eden or none of them will survive. Having witnessed this, Xue Yan abandons Saito and rushes to aid her fellow Assassins, who are still recovering from the amulet's effects. Saito questions Edward about his decision to spare the Chinese Assassins, to which he claims that, while not the wisest choice, it was the right thing to do.
With the Spanish Army having the fort surrounded, Edward concludes that this is their only chance to escape and grabs Saito as the two rush towards the Celestial Chariot, which John Young was barely able to prevent from crashing. However, as they do so, Saito tells Edward that she lost Hendrik's sea log during the fight. Back at the fort, Xue Yan informs Xiao Han that she managed to steal the log from Saito during their duel, meaning their mission to Cebu was a partial success.
In the present, Edward's usage of the amulet causes Noa Kim to suffer an intense synchronization error as his brain is flooded with data from the Animus. With the test subject quickly losing consciousness, Shimazu Sei orders her team to end the session while Noa finds himself in the Animus' Memory Corridor.
