Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple Episode 135 is the one hundred and thirty-fifth episode of Redice Studio's webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, a sequel to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The webtoon, written by ARC and YEON and with art by Tabii, was released on 25 November 2025.
Plot synopsis[]
Having reached the Forgotten Temple's core, Sigma Team uses a handheld device to activate a nearby pedestal, which extends a bridge to the central platform, where another pedestal is located. A Sigma operative places the device holding the third Piece of Eden on this pedestal, which begins to link up with the temple's systems. However, before the operatives can gain control of the temple, the device becomes unstable and emits a blinding light, turning all the agents into 18th-century British soldiers.
With the device destroyed, the temple's systems go haywire, affecting not just the complex, but also its surroundings. Outside, as their forces continue battling the stone guardians, the Nguyễn clan's general and Madam Lee both notice a change in the temple's barrier, which has begun glowing and emitting a strange energy. Lee becomes concerned as she realizes that one of their enemies must have seized control of the complex and unleashed the power of Those Who Came Before.
Meanwhile, the anomaly affects the plane Claire Zhang is in, causing it to experience turbulences. Realizing there is nothing left for them to do, Claire orders the pilot to fly the plane to safety, trusting Noa Kim and Shimazu Sei to succeed in their mission and end the anomaly. Inside the temple, "Edward Kenway" and "John Young" come across an open door leading to the central elevator, which has become operational thanks to all three control units being activated. Just then, however, the pair are confronted by Alan Jacob and his men, who hold them at gunpoint.
Bitter over being used as cannon fodder to hold back the stone guardians and allow Edward and John to reach the elevator, Alan claims that he no longer has any use for them and prepares to have them killed. However, just as he is about to order his men to open fire, the Grand Master is pinned down by "Shimazu Saito", who leaps onto Alan and holds her sword to his neck. John shoots the sword out of Saito's hand and threatens her to let Alan go, siding with the Templars as he still believes they can help him resurrect Xialun Qing. Edward aims his own pistol at John and orders him to lower his gun, initiating a Mexican standoff.
The standoff is quickly broken when Xiao Han, accompanied by Liu Qing, Xue Yan, and a number of Nguyễn troops, arrives and disarms Edward with a rope dart. He claims that the Forgotten Temple will allow the Chinese Assassins to achieve their "grand cause" and that anyone who stands in their path will be eliminated. Realizing they stand no chance of winning the fight, Edward tells Saito to release Alan and ease the tensions. After she does so reluctantly, Saito and Edward contemplate their next move as they continue to be surrounded by enemies from all sides.
