The Archives in York were the workplace of the council of Jorvik during the Anglo-Saxon period.
History[]
In 874, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir went to investigate the Archives for any clues of recent thefts. During her investigation, Eivor was suddenly disturbed by the Abbess Ingeborg and the High Reeve Audun. Eivor questioned them about where the current Christian texts were, but Ingeborg claimed they were safe and that someone in her rectory was responsible for the thefts. From this information, Eivor left both Audun and Ingeborg to their duties.[1] After revealing and assassinating both "The Firebrand" and "The Needle", who were Abbess Ingeborg and dockmaster Grigorii, respectively, Eivor and her close friend Ljufvina Bjarmarsdottir investigated the Archives once more due to Ingeborg's clue of one of the council being "The Vault." From their searches, Eivor and Ljufvina found a hidden room and figured out that wine for the Yuletide feast was poisoned. Quickly, Eivor and Ljufvina left for the Yuletide feast to save the guests.[2]
From her time in Jorvik, Eivor also found a Book of Knowledge atop a ladder at the Archives and gained the ability, "Rage of Helheim."
