The Arch of Constantine (Italian: Arco di Constantino) is a structure within the Roman Forum.

History[]

On Constantine I's ascension to the throne in 312 after his defeat of Maxentius, the Arch of Constantine was built to commemorate his victory; most of the artwork on the arch was plundered from existing monuments and modified to alter its meaning.[1]

During the 16th century of the Renaissance, in order to liberate Rome, the Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze destroyed the local Borgia tower nearby and renovated the Arch.[2]

Around 1506, to investigate the Crows' camp around the Colosseum, the Italian Assassin Lo Sparviero climbed up the Arch. On the top of the Arch, he saw two strange bald men talking. To hear the conversation, Lo Sparviero jumped into a haystack. At the end of the conversation, the two men separated, and the Assassin decided to tail the Crow Master.[3]
