Apple of Eden #7[2] was one of the Apples of Eden, leftover pieces of technology created by the Isu. It was notably wielded by the British Rite of the Templar Order during the 1860s, until its destruction in a lab accident.

Usage[]
Like the other Apples of Eden, it was designed to create illusions and control people's minds. However, it quickly became unstable when not wielded properly, as shown when it caused the destruction of an underground tunnel while in the hands of Cavanagh,[4] and when it detonated after being exposed to high voltages of electricity.[1]
History[]
During the mid-19th century, the British Templars learned that the Apple was buried in London and assigned Cavanagh to oversee the construction of the world's first underground railway as a cover to search for the artifact. However, Cavanagh secretly plotted to use the Apple to overthrow Grand Master Crawford Starrick once he had obtained it.[4]
In 1862, the Apple was inadvertently found by solicitor Charles Pearson, who was unaware of its true nature and used it to adorn his walking stick. To acquire the artifact, Cavanagh ordered his subordinate Bharat Singh, in reality the undercover Assassin Jayadeep Mir, to kill Pearson, though he intended to betray Mir afterwards and frame him for the murder, having discovered his true identity. However, Mir refused to kill an innocent man, forcing Cavanagh to assassinate Pearson himself during the railway's inauguration.[4]
With the Apple in his possession, Cavanagh used it to attack Mir and his mentor Ethan Frye, but the artifact's powers soon caused the underground tunnel they were in to collapse. Mir and Frye managed to escape while Cavanagh was killed by fellow Templar Marchant under the orders of Starrick, who had learned about Cavanagh's plans to betray him. Marchant then claimed the Apple and delivered it to the Order.[4]
In early 1868, the Apple was given to the Templar scientist David Brewster for experimentation in his laboratory near Croydon. The Assassin Evie Frye killed Brewster and planned to retrieve the artifact, but the experiment went awry and the Apple, along with the laboratory, were destroyed, though Evie managed to escape to safety.[1]
