Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier (26 August 1743 – 8 May 1794) was a French nobleman and chemist, who is widely considered to be the Father of Modern Chemistry. During the French Revolution, Lavoisier developed a poisonous smoke bomb for the French Assassins but was kidnapped by followers of Jean-Paul Marat while out walking.

Madame Lavoisier informed Arno Dorian that her husband had gone missing and the Assassin rescued him. However, Dorian then learned that the bomb formula had also been taken. Antoine Lavoisier returned to his wife while Dorian chased down the formula and the Assassin brought it back to the couple upon his success.
