Around 48 BCE, the captain of the outpost ordered a chariot-maker by the name of Eryx to craft a war chariot. Eryx did as asked, but when the captain came to collect, he offered only half of what they'd agreed. Eryx didn't agree to the trade, so the captain killed him and took the chariot to the outpost. There, he took it out for joy rides with one of his soldiers.
