Andrew Davies is a member of the Templars and leader of Omega Team, working under Alan Rikkin and reporting directly to him. Davies was also employed as a white hat hacker for Abstergo Industries.
Biography[]
At some point, Davies was employed by Abstergo Industries as a white hat hacker working under Rodrigo Lima alongside colleagues Anaya Chodary and Max Dittmar.[1]
In October 2016, Davies was ordered by Rikkin to keep tabs on Simon Hathaway, the newest member of the Templar Inner Sanctum. Simon had been given a week to find a way to restore the Sword of Eden wielded by Joan of Arc.[2] Rikkin wanted Davies to slow him down at every possible turn, else he find out the truth of the Templars' original vision.[3]
On the third day of the operation, Davies contacted Rikkin via a mobile number consisting entirely of zeroes. Notifying the CEO that Phase 1 of the contingency plan known as "Omega-104" had been initiated. Rikkin told Davies to continue onto Phase 2 and prep "Omega-105".[2] Davies had hacked into Hathaway's Animus sessions and restriction his outbound communication,[4] blocking a message to Zachary Morgenstern in Cryptology with details on Jacques de Molay's graffiti.[5] Continuing with his cover-job, Davies sat with Dittmar as their boss Rodrigo told them of Anaya's promotion. The two were also told to be nice to Anaya's replacement; Benjamin Clarke. The four of them then all went out for celebratory drinks at Bella Cibo that night.[1]
The next day, Davies was introduced to Clarke and eagerly shook his hand. He encouraged the young American to call Anaya by the nickname "Ny" as she hated it.[6] On the fifth day, he updated Rikkin on the progress of his mission. Phase 2 of Omega-104 was completed, he suggested the termination of Hathaway and immediate replacement, but was told to stand down. Phase 1 of Omega-105 complete and Phase 2 initiated, Double Epsilon; EE: Eliminate and Erase.[7] Some time later, he and Anaya chatted about how great Benjamin was, much to his embarrassment.[8]
Five days later, after Simon had gone off grid and was presumed dead, he miraculously returned with restored Sword in hand. He regaled his fellow Templars with the original vision of de Molay, much to the anger of Rikkin.[9] With the kill order retracted, Rikkin still ordered Davies to keep an eye on Hathaway. Davies reported that he used the Animus a couple of hours prior but deleted the records using a bypass key. When asked if he was noticed, Davies revealed that Clarke was his scapegoat. Rikkin then ordered the rest of Omega Team to stand down, but to prepare for Double Epsilon again. Potentially for all Inner Sanctum members who voted against him.[3]
Personality and traits[]
On the surface Andrew Davies was a calm and somewhat jovial individual.[1] He would even call his colleague Anaya, "Ny", a nickname he knew she hated.[6] But as the leader of Omega Team, Davies was cold and calculating. He did not hesitate in suggesting to eliminate and replace Simon Hathaway.[7]
Skills and equipment[]
Davies was a skilled hacker, being able to hack into the Animus sessions of Hathaway without revealing himself.[4] He was also a master of subterfuge, and was able to shift suspicion away from himself and onto the newly arrived Benjamin Clarke.[3] When Davies communicated with Rikkin, he did so through an untraceable line.[2]
