And the Streets Run Red was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[]
Kassandra set out to look for her friend Phoibe, whom Aspasia had sent on an errand.
Dialogue[]
Kassandra made her way east of Perikles's villa in search of Phoibe. She sent Ikaros to scan from the skies for Anastasios' residence, where Aspasia had sent Phoibe
- Kassandra: This looks like the place.
Making her way into the house, she discovered a massacre.
- Kassandra: By the gods. What happened here?
She investigated the body to her left.
- Kassandra: This was savage... Done to send a message.
She inspected the bloody column to the right.
- Kassandra: I'm glad Phoibe wasn't here. Hopefully she's safe.
She inspected the body on the bed at the back of the room.
- Kassandra: Deimos must be carrying through on his threat.
She left the house and saw Cult guards chasing Phoibe into the Odeon of Perikles. Phoibe's scream rang out across the agora.
- Kassandra: Phoibe! No!
Hey! Stop!
As she entered the Odeon, she saw Cult guards standing over Phoibe, slumped against a nearby column.
- Kassandra: Phoibe!
Kassandra killed the Cult guards and ran to Phoibe's side.
- Kassandra: Phoibe! No, no, no, no, no. Ela, ela. (Come, come.)
Phoibe remained motionless. Tears filled Kassandra's eyes.
Kassandra removed Chara from her pack and folded Phoibe's hands around it. She placed her hands on Phoibe's temples, kissed her head and rested her forehead against hers for a moment.
- Kassandra: Aniazo. (I grieve/mourn)
Kassandra stood up. As she walked towards the exit, Hippokrates and Sokrates ran up to her.
- Hippokrates: Kassandra!
- Hippokrates: Are you all right?
- Kassandra: I need to speak to Aspasia.
- Sokrates: We must find Perikles first. He's missing—
Kassandra snapped, grabbing Hippokrates by the throat.
- Kassandra: I don't fucking care! Tell me where Aspasia is!
- Hippokrates: Kassandra!
Kassandra exhaled and released him.
- Kassandra: I'm sorry... Phoibe.
Hippokrates and Sokrates looked past her, and understood what had happened. They glanced at each other briefly before returning to Kassandra.
- Hippokrates: Aspasia went to find Perikles at the Parthenon. She should be there.
Kassandra turned around and walked out the back towards the Parthenon. Hippokrates glanced at Sokrates.
- Hippokrates: I think we'd better go with her.
- Sokrates: I agree, my friend. I agree.
Outcome[]
Despite Kassandra's best efforts to protect her, Phoibe perished at the hands of the Cult of Kosmos. She headed to the Parthenon to find Aspasia, with Hippokrates and Sokrates following close behind.
