Chapman's helicopter flies over the Swiss Alps

The Alps is the most extensive and highest mountain range that lie within Europe.

History[]

In 1873, British Assassin Simeon Price and defected Austrian Templar Countess Konstanze von Visler ran away to a secluded cabin in the Alps after faking their deaths from the Templars. There, Simeon trained and lived with his partner Konstanze for a month, even adopting a dog Javert together. For a month, he readied her to meet with Zurich Assassin leader Henri Escoffier as a possible initiate.[1]

For the next three years, Simeon and Konstanze lived together while she trained to become an Assassin. In September 1876, Simeon waited at home for two months while Konstanze was off to Brussels on her first mission to assassinate Templar cartographer Maynard Poole. He received Henri, who offered that Konstanze succeeded but gave an audience with King Leopold II of Belgium. Set to talk with Konstanze, Simeon received her and her surprise guest Henry Morton Stanley at their house. Mad, Simeon privately asked her about her choices in Brussels but she played it off. Storming to their room, he was caught off-guard by Stanley, who was looking at Konstanze's work.[2]

While talking with Stanley, Simeon noticed Stanley's gun and acted swiftly to incapacitate him. In the scuffle, Konstanze appears and holds her gun at Simeon, who held Stanley between them. Choking Stanley, he deduces that Konstanze has lied all this time about becoming an Assassin and pushed Stanley onto her to escape. In pain, Price later returned to their home to recover their dog before leaving to meet with Henri.[2]

Chapman's Downfall[]

On 15 November 2017, a hypnotized Elisa Adler held Maxime Gorm hostage and made him drive to a helipad at the Swiss Alps. There, both met with Stanislas, who took them to the helicopter, as they met with Dr. Nathalie Chapman. Nathalie explained to Gorm of his lineage and her current planning after she escaped Abstergo Industries. As they all flew to her base within the Alps, she detailed her plans with her own version of Project BLUEBIRD. In return for their memories, Chapman needed Gorm to relive his mother's memories to find out what happened with her father, Boris Pash.[3]

After finding the truth, she used the Apple of Eden she stole from Abstergo and activated her base. However, her machine started to malfunction as she detected a complex virus in her system. Realizing it was of Tomo Sakagawa's design, the Assassin himself appeared in front of her after killing both Maxime and Stanislas. In a compromise, Tomo negotiated both his and Elisa's freedoms by helicopter for the virus' de-encryption. Chapman agreed while Tomo and Elisa left the facility. However, once Tomo and Elisa left, he actually sent another virus infecting her cooling systems. Within her second attempt, Nathalie unknowingly overheated her system and caused a massive explosion, killing her and presumably destroying the Apple.[3]
