The Alamanni were an alliance of Germanic tribes around the upper Rhine during the Roman era.
In 259, the Alaman Assassin Accipiter fought in a battle against an army of Romans under the command of the general Gracchus.[1] Later, he led the Alamanni in the attack of Lugdunum and Italy.[2]
