Adrien Tomas (born 1986) is a French biologist, translator and author of fantasy novels.
His first novel, La Geste du Sixième Royaume, received the Imaginales Prize in 2012. He joined the Charter for Youth Authors and Illustrators and is one of the directors of the association. In 2019, his first children's novel, Engrenages et Sortilèges, received the Babelio Jeunesse prize, the Les Halliennales festival prize and the Saint-Exupéry prize.
He is currently working as a freelance author and is employed at Les Éditions Mnémos.

Early life[]
Adrien Tomas was born on 4 March 1986 in Soissons, France.[1] Wishing to emulate his childhood idols Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon and Charles Darwin, he studied marine ecology in several places through France.[2]
From 2007 t0 2008, he studied for a masters degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography at the Lille University of Science and Technology. Afterwards, he studied for his second masters degree in Conversation Biology at University of La Rochelle from 2008 to 2009.[3]
Early career[]
After graduating university, Tomas worked as a zoological conservationist from 2011 to 2016 for SOS Crocodiles, La Ferme aux Crocodiles, ZooParc de Beauval. He was also employed at the publishing company Les Éditions Mnémos as an author and under the label producing such hits as the Les Six Royaumes series, the Le Chant des Épines series, the recent Vaisseau d'Arcane series, and the independent novel Notre-Dame des Loups. He also had several shorter novellas published under the label.[3]
Assassin's Creed[]
On 15 April 2021, a standalone Assassin's Creed novel series, Assassin's Creed: Fragments began with the release of The Blade of Aizu written by Olivier Gay. Tomas was announced as the author of the third installment entitled The Witches of the Moors, which released in 2022.[4][5]
