Altaïr: "Have you nothing better to do?"
Abbas: "I bring words from the master, he waits for you in the library. Best hurry, no doubt you're eager to put your tongue to his boot."
Altaïr: "Another word and I'll put my blade to your throat."
—Altaïr and Abbas meet at Masyaf[src]

Abbas Sofian[1] (Arabic: عبّاس) (died 1247) is the second Assassin that Altaïr meets after the failed mission at Solomon's Temple. He is also heard as he calls the Assassins back up to the fortress during the Templar attack, when Al Mualim orders the retreat. Like Malik (before his change of attitude), he does not have a high regard for Altaïr. He enters an argument with him at the fortress after Abbas informs Altair that Al Mualim is expecting him.

After Altaïr left to assassinate Genghis Khan, Abbas took control of the Order by killing Altaïr's youngest son, Sef Ibn-La'Ahad and putting the blame upon Malik Al-Sayf, Altaïr's right-hand man. He was later confronted by Altaïr and subsequently killed by him.[2]
