While your interpretation of the Creed may justify anarchy, in my head canon the Assassins don’t want anarchy, as many times this type of “governance” leads to widespread chaos and destruction. In my opinion the Assassins simply want a world where every man and woman can think freely for themselves, without anyone oppressing them or limiting their free will.
It surprises me that there are so many philosophers and historians in this wiki. But, after all, this is AC, so…

Yes, that I know. In my opinion they create AC games picturing the Templars as corrupt people which are nothing compared to Assassins so we assume that they are weak and then BOOM they strike with all their might. As a Templar-aligned person I’m safe, but idk about the rest of y’all.

Has anyone not thought about a AC game set in the Mongol Empire during Genghis Khan’s rule? We already have the Assassin (the one in Villa Auditore’s basement) AND the major Templar antagonist (Genghis Khan, since the pedestal’s description read that our Assassin killed Genghis Khan with an arrow). And it’s not like it hasn’t been done before. Aya, deuteragonist of AC Origins, comes from one of the statues of Villa Auditore.

A game featuring Edward Kenway’s daughter (I don’t remember her name at the moment). I mean we only saw her in the ending scenes of Black Flag and then never again seen. Did Edward train her as an Assassin? Did he marry her off? What happened? And I’m not even asking for a mainline game, a DLC type like Freedom Cry would be enough. I just think that she wasn’t expanded on enough.

At the end of AC 2, Ezio confronts Rodrigo Borgia, who at the time was Pope, in Rome, after a grueling battle, Ezio manages to disarm the Spaniard and gain access to the vault. Before he can kill Rodrigo he has a change of mind, and says: “Killing you won’t bring back my family”. Then why did you kill the Pazzi, Savonarola, and all the allies of the Borgia? Machiavelli was right, honestly. I know that at the start of the game Ezio was young and foolish, but if he killed Rodrigo, he would’ve prevented the events of Brotherhood and the oppression of the inhabitants of Rome from ever happening.
So I ask you, WHY?
