In think Ubisoft can't animate Asian faces and it is lot of work for them that why they are not doing Asian setting. Another point is they cannot compete with Playstation's Ghost of Tsushima by making silly 5 or 10 hours of story with 20 or 30 hours of gridy and unintresting side quests. It will be difficult for them to understand and make a game set in Asian or Eastern culture and if the make game in Japan or China they will end doing more stupid game than they have currently done. The main problem with Ubisoft is they dont know how to build or connect story nowadays a days , If they make a AC game in Japan or China whose culture they are not familiar with the will make stupid AC game with many historical incorrect events,historical inaccuracies and many mistakes in lore and culture of that time period. Because of their lazyness and inability to do different culture which they are not familiar with , they have made 2D Assassin's Creed game which features China and India. After seeing Unity,Syndicate,Origins and Odyssey which ruined the intresting time period and location I dont want to see Japan  or China get ruined by Ubisoft's stupid mistakes.
