I just started getting into assassins creed and I’ve just played some of odyssey, what are some assassin creed games you recommend
I love how Connor’s hidden blade works, but wouldn’t call flawless, If I was to redesign Connor’s pivot blade(s), it wouldn’t be much: the blade would be bigger, the housing of it would be splitted by two sectioned parts, the usual hilt used to house the blade and hold it as dagger, but also a smaller channel, below the hilt and connected to it, sharing the blade. For that, the hilt would be open at the bottom, letting pass all the blade, with its base coming from the lower housing channel.
Both the hilt and the channel moves forward, with first half of the hilt move onward of the bracer until the middle of it, on the pivot joint height, with the blade being completely extended outside of the hilt, and the lower housing moving foward as well, but being completely empty.
There then would be a beneath rail, attached to the hilt’s pivot joint, that extends the hilt with the whole blade on it, to reach the user’s palm so it can rotate.
The blade and the pivot hilt, an elegant design. Yes, a little inspired by the hook blade design.
And to increase the weight of it in the plot, it would have been Miko, the Assassin from whom Haytham stole his hidden blade and who he killed in the opera, who designed it after having his old one stolen by Haytham. Granting a poetic ending when Connor killed him years later.

Different than Brotherhood and Revelations, which had the recruits being random citizens you rescued. A feature that was changed in AC3. Instead of random people you recruited, in AC3 were people with names, character and background.
The issue is that is just this named characters as your recruits, just 6 people. Which in my opinion makes no sense considering you're are going to either Boston or New York, logically thinking, how the apprentices recruited knows which city you're going, not to how impossible would be to rely ONLY in six people to do the apprentice missions throughout the whole thirteen colonies.
To be honest, i think it should have been a blend of the way it was in AC3, and the way of Brotherhood and Revelations. Having the named characters as the main recruits, and the random npcs from the liberation missions or encouraged by you completing the missions, maybe still having the recruiting mechanism of brotherhood. They'd disguise themselves as a militia, some using hoods and others using hats. And the recruits would work in the frontier as well.
We all know the AC franchise isn't 100% historically accurate to past real life facts, historical figures and events, bending many of these so the fictional plot could flow. Even though do try the most as possible to be historically precise.
I've been thinking of this ever since it was officially confirmed recently Jack The Ripper's true identity, and recently this new discovery of underground structures beneath the pyramids. My mind have been boiling with it.
But here's the question and point of discussion: What historical aspects would you change to make the games more historically accurate while keeping most of the plot as close to the same as possible, or even making them better (Without changing the assassin-templar or first civilization stuff)?
For example: some historical figures that are targets that in the game, are killed in a different data than the real life data of the death, i could count some. They could've put a fictional character, it's not like historical records shows every figure in every political or religious position in in some years, and leave the figures with historically confirmed data of deaths, be killed assassinated in the time.
So.... Apparently there is this "mythical" article somewhere on the internet about Danny Wallace's role in the Official Movie that was supposed to be a cameo but that was ultimately cut like the scenes of Aguilar and María in training and Lara's monologue in the cafeteria with Callum Lynch.
The thing is, there is this 2017 Reddit thread talking about it and actually with a link that redirects to a link on Shortlist -a digital newspaper in which Danny seems to write- but the link redirects you to another article that has nothing to do with Danny's cameo.
I've tried the Wayback Machine, running scans through AI and what have you. Nothing.
So, does any of you know what was that "legendary" cameo all about?
According to the reddit comments, I could make out that he was appearing as himself or a hooded figure that aided Lin, Moussa and Cal to kill the power in the Templar Hall and provided Cal with a Hidden Blade too in order to assassinate Alan Rikkin.
What do y'all know about this?

I mean seriously? Getting mad because you can romance people of the same gender? That you can destroy temples? No one is forcing you to do that. And Japan Prime Minister is exaggerating.
I pre ordered few days ago and today I installed it on my PC but I don't have a option to play it. I thought we can play it few days earlier before official premiere if we pre order.

Going into Mirage fresh off the heels of Valhalla, I was really hoping for a lot. Basim’s introduction and story throughout that game is super compelling- an assassin overcome with the personality of his Precursor ancestor, hellbent on finding the descendent of Havi to exact a centuries worth of revenge. He’s cool and deadly and a bit insane and pulls off an incredible stunt to resurrect himself in the modern day. Basim is great character and an awesome villain and with Mirage, I was excited to see how he became who he is.
but we didn’t really get it. We got 20 something hours of mildly engaging contracts as he became an assassin, and all the revelations of his history break out in the last hour. When we leave him he is not at all like the man we meet in Valhalla- and sure some years elapsed between those settings, but I cannot see how he becomes who he is. We get one twist with Nehal, and then Basim watches a video of Loki(?) getting bullied, and he’s like “yep got it I know now who I am and have become a better person.” If I hadn’t played Valhalla, this would make zero sense- and even now I’m still not sure I get it.
The Jini should have been Loki trying to join with and take over Basim’s conscience, and each assassination allows Loki closer to him; and when he reaches the vault, could have communicated and learned of his grand purpose to find Havi. Basim could have been injured by Rosham to explain how different his older voice is. The “assassin focus” ability could have been explained as a genetic ability he gained from Loki, who fights with similar teleportation in Valhalla. If they wanted to keep a Nehal-like twist, she could have been Loki in a disguise to explain why she was leading Basim to the vault. Honestly just anything to relate the Basim to his ancestor.
There was soooo much more we could have gotten out of his backstory- and they gave us an inexplicable vault below Alamut, a half baked development of Basim’s character, and at the very end, a 40 minute unloading of plot they forgot to thread thru the rest of the game. They were so focused on making this a stand alone game they sapped it of anything interesting and played it far too safe.
