Question asked in interview: With Origins and Odyssey, it seems like Assassin’s Creed is moving away from the assassin fantasy to enable more player expression to play the way they want to play. Do you worry it's moving too far away from that or do you feel like it's still anchored in that fiction? We have the same question internally quite often. With Odyssey, we discussed that. I found we are lacking some of the flavor of an assassin, so we are working on that. We don't want to move away. We want to respect the brand, but we also want to improve it. I think the RPG mechanics are really improved, but we need the leap of faith, the sound, all of the good stuff of the previous games.
But I think it was a good decision to move away from the previous fighting systems to the new one. It's added value for the player. We are careful about the brand; we work on it. When you allow the player to customize their character so they can remove the hood, it's okay because this is a player decision. We don't have to force the player to look the way we want them to look. The philosophy we have for all the games is player expression, player freedom, and autonomy of the player.

Comment below and tell me your dream setting I guess you could call it. Mine would be the Welsh wars and the Hundred year wars both Set around the same time 1337-1453 and the Glyndŵr Rising aka the Welsh revolt 1400-1415. I’m welsh like Edward Kenway that’s why 😂
This wiki can have filters like Fan Content , Off Topic Discussions and so on like Pokemon and Soulcalibur wiki but I dont understand why this AC wiki dosent have such things.I thought if AC Wiki has those things then it would be fun .......Iam sorry if I said anything wrong this was just my opinion.
Way back in 2016 only Ubisoft people told that in future they are going to make Assassin's Creed games with "Less Narrative" and more "Open World RPG".
Since AC Origins and Odyssey sold better than AC Unity and Syndicate they will continue making AC games like AC Origins and Odyssey which had less narrative and it is pretty bad news for the people who didnt like AC Origins and Odyssey because of less narrative.
Iam sure that this is pretty bad news for old Assassin's Creed fans who liked characters like Altiar , Ezio and others.
Hoping for next upcoming AC Vikings to have good story and characters is a waste of time. Old AC fans have to either embrace the bull shit or move away that is the only option for Old AC fans.
