Apples of Eden

Beat the Templars to another Piece of Eden.

Possible spoilers from the Crossover event.

I finish the last memory of Odyssey but I don't begin the Valhalla part. As Aletheia tasked Kassandra to recover Piece of Eden to protect humanity, we can imagine that Kassandra was the ''Lady Eve'' who paid Philippe Rose to bring the Apple of Eden of Saint-Denis to her and not Napoleon. It would be a retroactive change but it could answered an unsolve mystery from Unity.

In 1453, Mehmed II used Apple of Eden to conquer the city of Constantinople, and he brought the Byzantine Empire to the end. After he captured the city, he declared him self as (Mehmet the Conqueror).

The son of Sultan Mehmed II and the youngest brother of Bayezid II, Cem was secretly a member of the Templar Order. Cem stole his father's Apple of Eden after his failure to secure the position of sultan. Upon proving to be unsuccessful in using its powers, he hid it in the Templar Archive on Cyprus.

Cem was placed under house arrest in Italy by his brother, where he became acquainted with Rodrigo Borgia, along with Andreas and Manuel Palaiologos. He was killed by the Assassins in 1495.

Cem learned that Sultan Mehmed II, his father, possessed an Apple of Eden and had used it to secure Constantinople. After failing to procure the throne of the Ottoman Empire after his father's death, he took the Apple and looked to it for aid. The Apple, however, did not listen to Cem, nor would it 'speak' to him.

Because of this, Cem decided that the Apple should be passed on to the Templars in the West, to men who had done more research into the artifact's power. Cem was fearful however that when accepting the Apple, the Borgia would shun him, due to him being a more recent convert to the Order. He therefore decided to hide the Apple, until he could establish the Borgia's trust.

While playing old Altair’s memories, in the memory before the last key in masyaf I noticed old Altair didn’t take much damage from the apple like Ezio did, but how?

I don’t recall Altair explaining how to use it correctly in the Codex pages, but I think it’s because he used and studied the apple of eden for a long time after the death of Abbas, and maybe then he began to get used to it’s affects considering he used it in Cyprus, and so on. After old Altair uses it in the memory he sits with his son and feels pain but I think it’s only from his old age and not the ape because if it was it would be a lot more painful for him like Ezio.

Desmond doesn’t take damage from it either, it may be because he’s used it a lot as Altair in Ezio through the Bleeding affect.

Is there an actual explanation as to why they don’t take damage from it?

As we know, Abstergo has at least 4 Apples. #1 (Stolen from Houdini) #2 (From Gandhi) #3 (From Kennedy) and #5 (From the Moon). Abstergo needed an Apple to finish the Eye-Abstergo project after Daniel Cross destroyed Apple #2, and that's the reason why they kidnapped Desmond and Clay (To find Ezio's Apple). But... why didn't they use the other Apples?
