Here are some theories that could be how the modern-day scenes will look like:

• Assassin's Creed: Infinity's prologue: I believe that Assassin's Creed: Mirage will be the prologue of Assassin's Creed: Infinity in a few words the Helix project and Basim would be a new memory that was added alongside the memories of the Sengoku Ninja and Wei Yu, the opening and ending scene will be like if we are playing a Helix-game and we are going to see in the memory menu, the Hidden Ones like Aya, Eivor, or Li E alongside other brand-new characters that could be featured in Assassin's Creed: Red and Assassin's Creed: Hexe.

• The "New" Desmond Miles: The Animus user in Assassin's Creed: Mirage would be part of the Assassins or the Templars but he or she couldn't be on both sides, another theory would be that the user could be Basim's descendant who is testing a new version of the Helix app or Layla's relative and at the end he or she could join the Assassins or the Templars.

• The Guinea Pig: Perhaps there is going to be a Desmond Miles or Callum Lynch-like character who was kidnapped by Abstergo to test a brand new Animus.

I believe this is starting to make so much sense now. With the whole "Game within a game" thing that's been going on since Assassin's Creed Black Flag and so on involving Abstergo Entertainment, I'm starting to think that they're going to go wild with this new project "Infinity".

According to Jason Shcreier, this new game will be some kind of platform where a Hub will let us play small and big games, what does that even mean? Anyways, if it's going to be some sort of real life canon Helix style platform it's fine for me. I like this kind of stuff where they mix reality with fiction, not that they didn't do it before with the mobile games that are supposed to be canon at the same time they're entertaining us in real life. But what if Ubisoft is going to actually port this to VR? I mean Infinity is not presumed to be released until 2024 or so. Possibilities are "Infinite" couldn't have chosen a better word eh?

Do you see this coming to some VR specially made for this game by Ubisoft with some kind of Animus Omega edition lmao 🤣 or just an anthology-like series with multiple eras to explore stuffed in a game with an interface simulating the HUD of an animus and that's just it?.
