I’d prefer a bit earlier with the Humboldt expedition as a main element. Possibly el dorado being an isu facility and something with the Nazca lines.

I think that something like Ponce de Leon's expedition could work. The core of the Fountain of Youth could be an Apple of Eden, and the Templars and Assassins are after it.

Maybe Ponce de Leon could be a Templar, and is working with the Borgia.
