An Assassin's Creed in the time of Jesus would be great for you.
Jesus is real in Assassin’s Creed though, just not divine.
Well sure, but I mean christians would still see it as "blasphemy", since the story would be about the "real" gods, Isu.
Not sure the overlap between Ubisoft's target demographic and the sort of Christians that would take offense to that sort of thing is that big. Honestly the product would probably benefit from the Streisand effect.
Tbf the best way to get visibility seems to be offending certain groups of people...
@Violiina No lol nobody would be offended, because Assassin's Creed is a fictional universe so who cares if they get something wrong about Christianity? I think a game set during the time and place of Christ would be really cool, because religion, especially Christianity, has played a large part in the Assassin-Templar conflict for millennia, so being able to see first hand how it has developed and grown, relating to the Assassins and Templars, would be very interesting.
No. It would anger a lot of Christian players, and it overall might not make a lot of profit. Considering that all Ubisoft cares about is profit, they definitely won't make a AC game about Jesus.
@EzioAuditoreTheFox AC Mirage was set in the Islamic Golden Age and no one was mad about that, so I doubt that a game set during/right after the time of Christ would be that controversial. They just have to do it right.
Facts 👌
@FullSynch Ubisoft even said their selves their not doing a game about Christ. Do your research.
@FullSynch Also, not a whole lot of Muslims play Assassin's Creed. So, i'd say Muslims make up about 3% of the AC community. Christianity is the most practiced religion in the world. At least 70% of the Assassin's Creed community is most likely Christian, resulting in a lot of backlash and hate over that game.
What do you think?
