That all tracks, yeah. The frost giants are clearly identified with the “mainline” Isu we’ve seen previously. Though god, I still don’t get what the dynamic is meant to be at all. Where does Eden fit into any of this? Given they have some record with open war, Odin’s realm seems to be a separate nation from the main one, but if Jupiter/Zeus ruled the sister realms despite their breaking from usual policy, when he was also a leader of the main Isu nation, are they part of that nation or separate? What the hell are dwarves, Vanir, Muspels, and especially what the hell are the elves, who apparently had tech so advanced that the Isu couldn’t replicate it? Man, DoR left so many more questions than it answered.

Muspels are most likely gods from the Egyptian pantheon. It was confirmed a while back that Muspelheim is supposed to be North Africa, and possibly Middle East as well. Surtr could actually be Ra and his daughter could be Isis.

As for Vanaheim, my own personal theory is that Vanaheim represents Ireland and the Vanir are deities from the celtic pantheon.
