Somewhere futuristic like in the modern era
The American civil war and the first crusade before Altair would be good
Personally I dislike futuristicgamrs.
I wanted an Old West AC set during the California Goldrush. But now that’s dead in the water thanks to RDR 2. I even had an idea for the main character to be an orphan who’s taken in by a “retired” Templar who trains them in the Assassin ways and uses them to eliminate other Assassins until the Brotherhood essentially captures them and shows them what’s really up. And it comes down to choosing between the Brotherhood and the only father the MC has ever known, who was not just a mentor and trainer, but also a good father. Maybe the MC chooses the Assassins over their father, but after he is defeated he runs from the Assassins and the Templars and goes into hiding.
Another ac game set in england hmmm...im down
England during the reigns of Henry VIII, his son (forgot his name), Mary Tudor, and Elizabeth I. Perhaps the Templars use Henry and his son as puppets to pull England away from the Catholics for their destruction of the order in France under de Molay. The Assassins hunt them down and destroy almost all of them, grooming Mary and trusting her to fix the kingdom. She turns on the assassins and has them purged with the protestants, creating an uneasy alliance between the remaining Assassin's and Templars. They defeat Mary and put Elizabeth on the throne, and with her ascension decide to create a truce that lasts through her reign. Just a thought. It would of course end with Elizabeth's ascension and would last for years, watching the protagonist and main antagonist age and war against each other.
